BACKGROUND

Programmed cell death 1(PD-1), also known as PDCD1, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein, and is an immunoreceptor belonging to the CD28/CTLA-4 family negatively regulates antigen receptor. PD-1 plays a vital role in inhibiting immune responses and promoting self-tolerance through modulating the activity of T-cells, activating apoptosis of antigen-specific T cells and inhibiting apoptosis of regulatory T cells. PD-1 is expressed in peripheral blood and also abundantly expressed in follicular lymphoma (FL). PD-1 and PD-L1 (also known as CD274 or B7-homolog 1 [B7-H1]) inhibitory signaling is an essential mechanism behind immune regulation of disease states, such as autoimmunity, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.

Active Recombinant Human PD1 Protein was determined by SDS-PAGE with Coomassie Blue, showing a band at 30-40 kDa.

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized human PDL1 at 3 μg/ml (100 μl /well) can bind biotinylated human PD1 with a linear range of 0.039-0.652 μg/mL.
