CASP8
Caspase-8 is a caspase protein, encoded by the CASP8 gene. It most likely acts upon caspase-3. CASP8 orthologs have been identified in numerous mammals for which complete genome data are available. These unique orthologs are also present in birds. The CASP8 gene encodes a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family. Sequential activation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis.
| Typical data
As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. Typical standard curve and data are provided below for reference only.
Concentration (ng/mL) | 10 | 5 | 2.5 | 1.25 | 0.62 | 0.31 | 0.15 | 0 |
OD | 2.59 | 1.47 | 0.81 | 0.48 | 0.33 | 0.23 | 0.21 | 0.08 |
Corrected OD | 2.51 | 1.39 | 0.73 | 0.4 | 0.25 | 0.15 | 0.13 | - |
| Repeatability
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):CV% < 10%; Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):CV% < 10%
