Fibronectin is a high-molecular weight (~500-~600 kDa)[5] glycoprotein of the extracellular matrix that binds to membrane-spanning receptor Proteins called integrins. Fibronectin also binds to other extracellular matrix Proteins such as collagen, fibrin, and heparan sulfate proteoglycans.Fibronectin exists as a protein dimer, consisting of two nearly identical monomers linked by a pair of disulfide bonds. The fibronectin protein is produced from a single gene, but alternative splicing of its pre-mRNA leads to the creation of several isoforms.
As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. Typical standard curve and data are provided below for reference only.

The recovery of Mouse FN spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

Cell Culture Supernates(n=8) | 96-108 | 105 |
Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Mouse FN and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
